The Fairfax Performance Cara Monoflap Dressage Saddle is a high-performance saddle, originally developed in collaboration with renowned specialist Marc-Peter Spahn, specifically designed to suit horses with an “uphill” conformation, such as Friesians. Its advanced design combines biomechanical innovation, comfort, and elegance, delivering exceptional performance for both horse and rider.
This saddle has been carefully engineered to enhance the horse’s freedom of movement while providing the rider with a stable, balanced, and unrestricted position, even on horses with asymmetrical shoulders.

The Performance Cara Monoflap features a surface-mounted thigh block, offering excellent rider support without forcing or restricting the natural riding position. Its development is based on proven research showing that the saddle panels allow the horse to move more freely, significantly improving stride extension, flexion, and gait symmetry, while enabling the rider to sit correctly on horses with uneven shoulder conformation.
Fabrics and Materials
Crafted from luxurious Italian calfskin leather with high grip, this saddle provides a secure and close-contact feel. The design is enhanced with an exclusive crocodile-embossed finish on the flap, adding a distinctive and sophisticated touch without compromising functionality.
