Made from exclusive MATTES natural sheepskin, it offers exceptional softness and adapts perfectly to the horse’s anatomy. Its flexible padding remains securely in place, preventing twisting and ensuring a comfortable, stable fit even during intensive work sessions.

The guard features a soft, ergonomic edge that distributes the pressure of the curb chain or curb strap evenly, promoting greater acceptance of the bit and improving the horse’s overall comfort and well-being.

Due to the wide variety of noseband and curb strap designs available, MATTES recommends selecting the appropriate padding width according to the circumference of the chain or strap being used. MATTES offers covers for curb chains, curb straps, and nosebands in five different widths, ranging from 2 to 6 cm, allowing for a precise fit for every setup.
