The Short Pelham Beris with Comfort Mouthpiece is designed to provide smooth, precise, and comfortable communication between horse and rider. Its anatomically shaped mouthpiece rests evenly on the tongue and bars, offering greater freedom of movement and avoiding any unwanted lateral pressure.

Thanks to its slight curvature, the Comfort mouthpiece adapts optimally to the horse’s mouth, making it particularly gentle and soft. The version with a slim 15 mm mouthpiece is ideal for ponies or horses with limited space in the mouth, maintaining the same ergonomic design as the standard Comfort mouthpiece.

When the reins are taken, the bit distributes pressure evenly across the tongue, lower jaw, and poll, delivering a clearer effect without being harsh. The bit guards prevent any pinching of the lips, ensuring better comfort for the horse.

The Pelham design allows different degrees of leverage depending on the shank length (5 cm), offering more precise control. It is especially suitable for:

  • Horses that struggle to accept the contact

  • “Hot” or overly forward horses

  • Situations requiring clearer control, such as horses with piercings or in critical moments

It includes a curb chain hook, but is supplied without the curb chain (matching Beris curb chain available separately).
