It is a fast-acting liquid supplement, formulated for the nutritional maintenance of healthy cartilage in the joints of horses with the nutritional benefit of sodium hyaluronate.

• Sodium hyaluronate is a normal constituent of the joint whose quantity and quality is reduced in the presence of synovitis and osteoarthritic cartilage. One of the most important roles it plays is to increase the viscosity of the synovial fluid, this reduces the friction between the joint surfaces and ensures correct movement in the joint.

• Glucosamine HCL increases the level of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in the joint. These GAG's are the "bricks" that make up the cartilage matrix. Glucosamine HCL increases the content of hyaluronate in the joint, an essential component of synovial fluid: the joint lubricant.

• Chondroitin Sulfate is a natural "water magnet". An adequate amount of chondroitin sulfate enables the joint to withstand the continuous pressures to which it is subjected. Chondroitin sulfate also inhibits the enzymes responsible for the destruction of cartilage present in injured joints.

• MSM is a source of bio-available sulfur. Sulfur is necessary for the formation of connective tissue. Thus, MSM can be considered as a "co-factor", together with glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate, in the repair of the cartilage matrix.
